iElect is a Lagos-based election-technology company with a distributed engineering and policy team across Africa and Europe. We exist because credible elections are a hardware problem that software can finally help solve.
Principles
Built for the field
Our products have to work on an entry-level Android phone on 2G, at noon, in a rural polling unit, run by a volunteer who trained for it yesterday. Anything less is a rounding error.
Multistakeholder by design
Commissions need oversight. Observers need access. Citizens need verification. Parties need membership infrastructure. The same data plane serves all of them — or none of them trust any of it.
Auditable in code, not in claims
Core libraries are published. Audit logs are queryable. Cryptography is independently reviewed. Security.txt is at the root of every site. "Trust us" is not a feature.
